Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi admits the injury to striker Romelu Lukaku is more severe than expected. And still don’t know if he will be ready to help the team in next week’s game or not.
Internazionale lost 2-1 at home to Roma in the Italian Serie A game ufabet on Saturday night. The team lost two league games in a row and lost 4 of the last 6 games, with the latest game sitting in the stands of the stadium as well.
However, Inzaghi admits he still does not know the situation of Lukaku when he will return to the field. By pointing out that next week’s game is also too optimistic.
“I’m pessimistic about the possibility of seeing Lukaku against Sassuolo,” Inzaghi said.
“He works hard. But the latest tests show that he is still in a bad shape and not ready to return to training with the rest of the team.”
Inter Milan will host Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night. This was followed by a visit to Sassuolo in the league game next Saturday.
Lukaku is not the only notable absentee against Roma, as Marcelo Brozovic has been ruled out for over a month following an injury suffered on international duty with Croatia.
