Robber uses stun gun in Cleveland Park attack

A man used a stun gun on a woman he was robbing in Cleveland Park on Friday night, D.C. police said Sunday.

The robbery occurred as the woman was walking alone about 11:30 p.m. in the 3500 block of Macomb Street NW, police said.

They said the woman, whose age was not given, was thrown down during the struggle but refused to give up her property.

At that point, the assailant used the stun gun on her, police said.

The woman was not seriously injured, but her belongings were taken, police said.

Officials said the robber got into a car driven by someone else that headed toward Connecticut Avenue.
