The Bulls announced the injury Friday morning and said it won’t require surgery. Rondo suffered the injury in Sunday’s Game 2.
The Bulls have a 2-0 lead against the Celtics and are vying to become the sixth No. 8 seed to topple a No. 1 seed since the NBA expanded the playoffs to 16 teams in 1984.
Rondo averaged 11.5 points, 10 assists and 8.5 rebounds in the two victories.
Game 3 is tonight at the United Center.
