Queens cops bust woman, 24, for shooting detective in head with pellet gun

Cops arrested a 24-year-old Long Island woman for shooting a plainclothes NYPD detective in the head with a pellet gun in Queens, police said Sunday.

Tiara Ferebee, of Riverhead, shot the detective in the head with an air gun as he drove past her in an unmarked car on 168th St. near Jamaica Ave. in Jamaica just after 5:10 p.m. on Wednesday, cops said.

The detective was taken to Jamaica Hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to officials.

Ferebee was arrested Saturday on a slew of charges, including attempted murder of a police officer, assault on a police officer with a deadly weapon and reckless endangerment, authorities said.

She refused to give cooperate with investigators and gave no motive for the shooting, police said.

She was awaiting arraignment.
