Police: Shooter in custody after woman slain on Far South Side

A person was arrested after fatally shooting a 21-year-old woman during a domestic fight Tuesday evening in the Eden Green neighborhood on the Far South Side, according to Chicago Police.

The two got into an argument about 7:20 p.m. in the 300 block of East 130th Street and the person shot the woman in the chest, police said.

She was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where she died, police said. Charges were pending Tuesday night.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office did not have information on the death.

A 17-year-old boy was shot dead on the same block in August.
