Bride and grooms spend months meticulously planning their big day, ploughing thousands of pounds into what’s supposed to be the happiest day of their lives.
So what could possibly go wrong? Well, according to these horror stories from wedding guests, quite a lot.

One guest revealed that the groom, who’d been out the night before, kept sitting up and down and huffing and puffing. Suddenly, they heard him say ‘oh no!’, and he ran down the aisle towards the toilet, holding his behind after accidentally soiling himself.
Another woman revealed how the bride’s mother didn’t like the groom, so, in a bid to avoid her marring the atmosphere by attending the wedding, she was told that they broke up.
But the mother found out the nuptials were still going ahead, and in a dramatic turn of events, she broke into the wedding ceremony and shot the groom in the leg at the altar.
On a similar theme, another user shared every bride’s worst nightmare – their groom’s ex-girlfriend showing up.
The user explained how the ex-girlfriend appeared from behind the curtains as the priest was marrying the couple. The groom ended up walking away from his wife-to-be in favour of his ex.

They offered to give him £100 for every second he stayed silent after being asked if he would take his fiancee to be his wife. The woman added: ‘The groom made it 47 seconds and only aborted because the situation got seriously hostile.’
One man shared a laugh-out-loud story of a bride with her breasts hanging fully out of her dress for most of the evening reception.
Whilst another man told how a child at the wedding fell into the £3,000 wedding cake right at the start of the day – totally ruining the prized confectionery.
