A 69-year-old grandmother was cold-cocked by a stranger outside of a Queens deli, police said.
The woman was by the Sutphin King Deli on Sutphin Blvd. near 108th Ave. when emerges from the store, and punches her in the face around 8 a.m. Saturday, according to footage obtained by WABC-New York.
The victim, identified by the network as Eve Gentillon, then falls flat on her back and appears to strike her head on the concrete.
She was taken to Jamaica Hospital with a severe brain injury.
Investigators identified the suspect as 28-year-old Richard Springer, who is also known on the street as “Kwasi,” police said.
Moments before the attack, Springer allegedly stole beer from inside the store, police said.
Springer is described as being around 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds. He has corn rows and has a tattoo on his right arm that includes the name “Emily,” cops said.
He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, blue jeans and black boots.
