Fans adequately recreate Darth Vader's 'Rogue One' scene at Star Wars Celebration

If you’re going to re-enact Darth Vader’s big Rogue One moment, you won’t find a more appreciative audience than the one at Star Wars Celebration.

Spoilers, I guess?

There’s a big scene at the end of Rogue One where a datachip containing the Death Star plans are ferried by Rebel forces to Princess Leia’s ship, the same one she’s aboard at the start of A New Hope. As the datachip passes from soldier to soldier in an extended sequence, we see Darth Vader wrecking everyone with his lightsaber… and drawing ever-closer.

This fan version nails the vibe of that scene. It even corrects Rogue One most horrifying misstep: it doesn’t end with a CG Carrie Fisher.

While it’s not a perfect recreation, it’s close enough that you know what’s going on. Here’s the original clip, for comparison.
