Three people were wounded in shootings on the West Side on Wednesday morning, police said.
The latest attack happened about 9:20 a.m. in the 3200 block of West Madison Street in the East Garfield Park neighborhood, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago police spokeswoman.
According to preliminary reports, a person in a red vehicle began firing at a 28-year-old, striking him in the head. The man suffered a graze wound and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, Lemmon said.
Another man was shot shortly before 8:30 a.m. in the 5800 block of West End Avenue in the Austin neighborhood, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago police spokeswoman.
The victim, 31, suffered several wounds to the torso and was dropped off at West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park. He was transferred to to Stroger Hospital and listed in critical condition, Pacheco said.
About 7:40 a.m., a female victim drove to Roseland Community Hospital after she was shot in the West Side neighborhood, Pacheco said.
She was in the 700 block of North Laramie Avenue when she was hit in the right side. Pacheco said the victim, whose exact age was not known, was in good condition at Roseland.
